BODYBODYBODY is an ongoing artistic research investigating how collective somatic practice generates situated knowledge of queer embodiment.
Across six workshops, participants were facilitated through movement-based scores, reflexive journaling, group discussions and collective word-mapping to explore how everyday heteronormative structures are sensed, named, and reworked in the body.
The research draws on queer-feminist pedagogies to support the collective process with a focus on embodied solidarity and forms of resistance that emerge through shared attention.
The first phase of the research took place during a residency at DOOR Foundation in Amsterdam and culminated in an artist talk, a guided meditation, and a collective listening session with sound artist Faustin.
